Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 2021 results
The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola proved to be a fascinating weekend. Qualifying saw Hamilton on pole with Perez second and Verstappen third. The race started under treacherous conditions with Verstappen making an excellent start in the wet to take the lead. Hamilton followed him closely and closed in before the first pit stop. A slow stop prevented Hamilton from taking the lead and he remained in second until he slid off whilst passing back markers damaging his front wing. After pitting he rejoined a lap down but the race was soon red flagged following a huge accident between Bottas and Russell. Lapped cars were then allowed to unlap themselves before the restart with Hamilton joining up in 9th position. He then fought his way through the field to finish in second ahead of Lando Norris but it was Verstappen who put in a fantastic performance to take his first win in 2021.
In RealityF1 it was a three-way tie between Reideeees Racers, Zachary Phillips and me in the Reality F1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The team to have was Verstappen, Norris and two AlphaTauris.
In the 2021 RealityF1 Championship Tom Sykes takes the lead.
In the league competition, NESTF1 remains top. Finland are in first place in the country league competition.
The site will re-open for team changes tomorrow (Monday). The third race of the season, the Portuguese Grand Prix, takes place on 2nd May.
