Reality F1 - Fantasy F1 competition

Japanese Grand Prix 2022 results

The weather was not kind to the Japanese Grand Prix and the race was red flagged almost as soon as it had begun due to rain and an incident. The race restarted after a lengthy delay and saw Verstappen cruise to an easy victory. Leclerc held on to second place until he went wide on the last lap and then rejoined keeping PĂ©rez behind. This resulted in Leclerc receiving a penalty which dropped him to third. Despite just over 50% of the race being completed full points were awarded due to an anomaly in the rules that no-one seemed to have noticed. This led to Verstappen being crowned driver's champion during the post-race interviews.

RealityF1 differs from F1 in awarding points under these circumstances as the RealityF1 rules state that points will be halved if the race has not reached 3/4 distance.

In RealityF1 it was a three way tie for Asko, OakleyF1 and Twenty-one in the RealityF1 Japanese Grand Prix. The team to have was Verstappen, Ocon, Aston Martin and Alpine.

In the 2022 RealityF1 Championship, Flying Scotsman holds the lead with Cake and Keith in second.

In the league competition, NESTF1 are top. Finland move back into first place in the country league competition.

The site will re-open for team changes on Monday. The 19th race of the 2022 season is the United States Grand Prix on 23rd October.
