Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2021 results
The first Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was very much a stop/start affair. There were multiple safety car and virtual safety car periods, the race was red flagged twice and there were three standing starts. Hamilton and Verstappen fought over the lead and the result was a shambolic affair as Verstappen left the track at one point and was deemed to get an advantage. The race director told Red Bull to give the place back and Verstappen slowed. It seems Hamilton had not had the message and collided with the back of the Red Bull. Verstappen was then given a 5 second penalty for the original incident. Hamilton then passed Verstappen and, with the penalty and his tyres fading, Verstappen settled into second place. Hamilton went on to win the race with Bottas clinching third from Ocon as he crossed the finish line. Verstappen was later given a time penalty for causing the collision but this does not affect the result.
In RealityF1 it was four way tie between Jess, Josur, Matt W and nrparmar for the win in the Reality F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The team to have was Hamilton, Ricciardo, Williams and Alpine.
In the 2021 RealityF1 Championship, Tom Sykes moves into the lead ahead of SmithyB_03 with just one race to go.
In the league competition, "Fighting for second" stay top. Finland also stay in first place in the country league competition.
The site will re-open for team changes tomorrow (Monday). The final race of the 2021 season is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 12th December.
