Sakhir Grand Prix 2020 results
The Sakhir Grand Prix was a sensational race. All eyes were on George Russell as he replaced Hamilton at Mercedes and he got a great start, jumping his team mate and taking lead. Verstappen and Leclerc both crashed out on the first lap and Perez, having collided with Leclerc, was forced to pit and rejoin last. Russell then comfortably led Bottas and extended his lead after the first pit stops. Late on Aiken, driving Russell's car at Williams, spun and left his front wing on the track. Under safety car Mercedes decided to pit both drivers but a disastrous stop saw Russell rejoin with Bottas' tyres and Bottas have a long stop and then rejoin with the same tyres as he'd come in with. Russell then had to pit again for the correct tyres and lost the lead. He rejoined behind Bottas but passed him after the safety car restart. He then set about trying to catch the leaders. However, a puncture whilst in second place and with just a few laps to go dropped Russell back out of the points and he could only recover to ninth. This left the way clear for Perez, who had been last after lap one, to take a fantastic maiden victory with Ocon in second and Stroll in third.
A fantastic victory for Perez and a third for Stroll helped Zac and Jez Partridge take the win in the 2020 RealityF1 Sakhir Grand Prix. The team to have was Perez, Bottas and two Racing Points.
In the 2020 RealityF1 Championship janne holds on to a slender lead from Malbotnado.
In the league competition, NESTF1 stay top. The United States hold on to first place in the country league competition.
The site will re-open for team changes tomorrow (Monday). The final race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, is on 13th December.
