Russell to replace Hamilton for Sakhir
Following Lewis Hamilton's positive test for Covid-19, George Russell will replace him in the Mercedes for the Sakhir Grand Prix this weekend.
This situation is already covered in the rules (#7) but for clarity:-
- If you have George Russell in your team then you will score points for him at Mercedes.
- If you have Lewis Hamilton in your team you will score points based on George Russell's replacement (Jack Aitken) at Williams.
- Scores for Mercedes will be calculated from the results of Bottas and Russell.
- Scores for Williams will be calculated from the results of Latifi and "Hamilton" (Aitken).
Grosjean will also not race this weekend and will be replaced by Pietro Fitipaldi. If you have Grosjean in your team then you will score points based on Fitipaldi's performance.
