Reality F1 - Fantasy F1 competition

2014 form guide

It's very difficult to know how this season is going to play out. There have been a lot of technical changes and, historically, changes of this magnitude really shake up the field.

From pre-season testing it looks as though the Mercedes powered teams currently have the edge, with Mercedes themselves and Williams looking strong. It's been hard to judge the Renault powered teams (like Red Bull) because they've had reliability issues in testing that have made it difficult to assess their pace. Ferrari seem to have a reliable engine but the car may not be as quick as the Mercedes - they do appear to have the best driver line-up though.

In the first free practice sessions for the Australian Grand Prix it was Alonso who set the pace in the first and Hamilton in the second. Red Bull will be pleased that Vettel was fourth fastest in the second session.

One thing is for certain, the balance of power between the teams is likely to change throughout the season so watching for the in-form drivers and teams and picking the right time to change your Reality F1 team will be crucial.

Game on!
