Reality F1 - Fantasy F1 competition

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025 and final results

Three drivers started the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with a chance of winning the 2025 F1 Driver's Championship but it was Norris who emerged champion. The race was largely incident free and Verstappen won comfortably. Norris started second and was passed by Piastri on the first lap but finishing third was all the Brit needed to do and so it would be. For much of the race Norris was kept honest by Leclerc in fourth and the only scare was when Tsunoda tried to hold up Norris and Lando moved off the track. The result means that Verstappen was second in the championship and Piastri, second in the race, was third.

This season is the last under the current set of regulations and the field has been very close and competitive. McLaren should be applauded for supporting their drivers equally and allowing them to race. There is a major change to the cars for next season and it will be exciting to see how the new rules shake things up. We also have a very short break in the action as the first test is at the end of January 2026.

In RealityF1, the 2025 RealityF1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was won by Idris. The team to have for this race was Hülkenberg, Russell, Ferrari and Kick Sauber.

The 2025 RealityF1 Championship was a very close fight with Cyril the Meatball beating Sebee by just 2.25 points. Congratulations to Cyril the Meatball you become the 25th RealityF1 Champion! mads_mc_squared was the top ranked rookie player (someone playing RealityF1 for the first time) in 9th.

In the league competition, Toto-Recall took the top spot by jumping 3 places in the last race. This is Toto-Recall's first league victory.

In the country league competition it was the United States who took victory to make it two in a row.

As the season has now ended I have updated the player rankings (a leaderboard of all the players who've contested a RealityF1 season since the game started in 2001). The top ranking player is chub who jumped from third last season, ahead of OakleyF1 and wildheart90.

As usual, I'm keen to hear any feedback you may have on the game so I can continue to improve it so please email me your views and suggestions for the future.

The site will re-open on Monday and, although you won't be able to create a team for the new season yet, you will still be able to update your profile and account details if you wish (should you change email addresses etc).

RealityF1 will return for the 2026 season. it's all change next year and testing begins at the end of January. The provisional date for the first race is the Australian Grand Prix on 8th March 2026. A month or so before the first race I'll email you to let you know that you can create your team for the coming season.

It only remains for me to thank you for playing RealityF1, I look forward to losing to you again in 2026.
