Belgian Grand Prix 2024 results
The Belgian Grand Prix never disappoints. The circuit is one of the greatest in the world and the weather often unpredictable. It was Verstappen that dominated a wet qualifying but he had a 10 place grid penalty for using another power unit. This promoted Leclerc to pole. In the early phase of the race Hamilton passed Leclerc and pulled out a bit of a lead. During the pit stops, Russell moved on to a one-stop strategy and in the closing laps was leading Hamilton who was on a two-stop. Hamilton closed in on Russell with fresher tyres but Russell managed to hold on for what seemed like an excellent win and a Mercedes 1-2. However during scrutineering it was discovered that Russell's car was below the minimum weight and he was disqualified and Hamilton promoted to winner ahead of Piastri and Leclerc.
In RealityF1 it was Steven Kelly who won the Reality F1 Belgian Grand Prix. The team to have was Hamilton, Stroll, McLaren and RB. The best team available for this race was Piastri, Stroll and two McLarens.
In the 2024 RealityF1 Championship, Wizzard holds onto the lead and KevinL moves in to second.
In the league competition, Toto-Recall moves in to top spot. Finland hold on to first place in the country league competition.
The site will re-open for team changes tomorrow (Monday). The 15th race of the 2024 season is the Dutch Grand Prix on 25th August.
