British Grand Prix 2022 results
A wet qualifying saw Sainz take pole ahead of Verstappen and Leclerc. At the start Verstappen took the lead but a huge accident saw Zhou leave the track upside down and slam into the crash fencing. The race was red flagged and at the restart Sainz managed to defend against Verstappen and hold the lead. Verstappen later passed Sainz but damage to his car resulted in a pit stop and him dropping down the field. The Ferraris then battled for the lead with Hamilton chasing them down. Hamilton pitted later than both Ferraris and the race was finely poised when Ocon stopped and a safety car was deployed. The field closed up and when the race restarted we had a frenetic 10 laps until the end. Sainz managed to hold off Pérez and Hamilton to take his maiden F1 victory.
In RealityF1 it was a win for Meluncia in the RealityF1 British Grand Prix. The team to have was Sainz, Schumacher, Ferrari and Aston Martin.
In the 2022 RealityF1 Championship, Lymbo holds on to the lead by 8 points ahead of Flying Scotsman still second.
In the league competition, NESTF1 are top. Finland are in first place in the country league competition.
The site will re-open for team changes on Monday. The 11th race of the 2022 season is the Austrian Grand Prix on 10th July.
