Brazilian Grand Prix 2021 results
The Brazilian Grand Prix was a phenomenal race as Lewis Hamilton fought his way up from tenth on the grid. He had set pole on Friday, was disqualified for a rear wing infringement and started the sprint last. He finished fifth and then took a five place grid drop for a new engine. He started tenth for the Grand Prix and fought his way quickly up into second behind Verstappen. He closed during the first pit stop but then Red Bull pitted first at the second pit stop. Hamilton stayed out for three laps and then pitted. He then closed in on Verstappen and made a move going into turn four. Verstappen ran wide and both cars left the circuit. A few laps later and Hamilton made the move stick and then disappeared into the distance. This weekend was one of Hamilton's most difficult but it led to arguably one of his greatest drives. There are now only three races left and the gap at the top is just 14 points.
In RealityF1 it was a three way tie between KevinL, SubmarinerF1 and Sudeep iPatch Pednekar for the Reality F1 Brazilian Grand Prix. The team to have was Hamilton, Gasly, Alpine and AlphaTauri.
In the 2021 RealityF1 Championship, SmithyB_03 holds on to the lead for another race.
In the league competition, "Fighting for second" hold on to the lead. Finland stay in first place in the country league competition.
Please note: due to debris on the track all cars followed the safety car through the pit lane for two laps. These count as pit stops in the official results for the race and so the number of pit stops used in RealityF1 was four and not two. See: RealityF1 Rule 6.6
