Austrian Grand Prix 2016 pitstops
I've adjusted the scores from the Austrian Grand Prix. The official race classification for the Austrian Grand Prix had Lewis Hamilton stopping four times.
Lewis actually only stopped twice for tyres but, like the other drivers, followed the safety car through the pits while debris was cleared from the track. The FIA consider these trips through the pits as "stops". Under normal circumstances RealityF1 scores are based on the official classifications from the FIA (to avoid any ambiguity) and so I marked the Austrian Grand Prix as a four stopper accordingly.
Having spoken to a few RF1 players today, and given the matter some thought, I've decided to make an exception and adjust the scores for this race. The strategy choice in RF1 now matches the number of times Hamilton stopped for new tyres in Austria rather than the number of stops the official classification gives. I think this more accurately reflects the ethos of the game and I hope you'll agree that the exception is appropriate in this case - none of you went for four stops anyway ;-)
