United States Grand Prix 2015 results
The United States Grand Prix weekend started off as a bit of a wash-out but ended with arguably the best race of the season. The race took place under slippery conditions and featured both the safety car and the virtual safety car. The lead changed several times but, ultimately, it was a mistake by Nico Rosberg that decided the lead as Hamilton swept past and claimed his third World Championship.
In the Reality F1 competition the United States Grand Prix was won by carl_w with MFJ in second; the team to have in the USA was Vettel, Sainz Jnr, Mercedes and Toro Rosso.
In the Reality F1 championship wildheart90 moves up to the top spot with previous leader, Norfolk and Chance, falling to fifth. The top four teams in the championship are now covered by just ten points with three races to go.
In the league competition, NESTF1 still hold the top spot and NEST's Most Wanted are second. Australia hold on to the top position in the Country League competition with Finland in second.
The site will re-open for team changes tomorrow (Monday). The seventeenth race of the season, the Mexican Grand Prix, is on the 1st November.
Update (26/10/2015): Many thanks to Peter for pointing out a mistake in the scores. Unfortunately I'd marked the race as having been stopped before 3/4 race distance and this halves the driver points. The scores have been corrected but, as the mistake affected all players, the leaders in the various championships remain unchanged. Sorry for the error and many thanks to Peter.
