Button wins the Australian GP; domotec leads Reality F1
Jenson Button took a fantastic victory at the season opening event. Button beat Hamilton away from the line and then put in a dominant performance to win the Australian Grand Prix.
Hamilton trailed Button for the first part of the race and lost second place when the safety car was deployed (after Petrov stopped on track). Hamilton, having just pitted had to drive to a set lap time before catching up with the safety car. Vettel, who hadn't pitted, was able to stop and then rejoin, splitting the McLarens.
Sergio Perez had a fantastic race and used a one stop strategy to start from last on the grid and finish 8th. Kobayashi made it a great day for Sauber by finishing 6th.
The impressive performance by the two Sauber drivers account for all the points scored by domotec; the winner of the Reality F1 Australian Grand Prix. As this is the first race of the season the results for the Australian Grand Prix are also the current championship standings.
As the season is now underway you can see the team components of other players and also see a breakdown of your own scores. We have also generated your predicted world rank following this event. However, you now only have two free team changes for the remainder of the season. You can make as many changes you want but, after your two free changes, 50 championship points will be deducted for any further changes.
The second race of the season, Malaysia, is next weekend.
